A SPECIAL WEEK
Speaking of Brazil, the Dutch cultural agenda of this coming week is rich of events for the Brazilian culture abroad, enriching the options within the Dutch multicultural society.
The week begins in Wassenaar on Monday the 10th of September, with the traditional reception hosted by the Brazilian Ambassador celebrating the Brazilian Independence day – actually, Brazil’s Independece day is on the 7th of September. While in Amsterdam, on Tuesday the 11th, begins the Cine Brasil at the Tropen Theater, a festival presenting the new Brazilian film production featuring an excellent list of movies along the whole week.
Finally, on Saturday the 15th, the Bimhuis will shine with the second edition of the BRAZILIAN SUMMER SESSIONS by A Hora do Brasil Foundation, this time presenting the Chorinho of Trio Madeira Brasil. As the creator and one of the producers together with Claudia Trajano of the Brazilian Summer Sessions and as director of the A Hora do Brasil, I believe that all these happenings mean together that our work is expanding and becoming stronger, inspiring new producers and creatives. It is a chance to visiting, promoting and praising each event and each other’s work, made possible by the hard effort of small groups of talented and determined people.
I congratulate the girls of Cine Brasil and I congratulate us, from A Hora do Brasil Foundation: Claudia, Júlia, Luana, Babette, Harry, Miguel and me!
Cheers!
